Pregnancy Photography
This special moment in your life is handled with great photographic sensitivity and care at Ryan Studio. Through the use of expert lighting and pose, you will be photographed from several angles depicting the beauty of the female form during your pregnancy. Our clients have the option of selecting from several backdrops for their photo shoot, ranging from our favourable ‘low key’ setting, to a bright white ‘high key’ look.
All our traditional black and white wall portraits are custom printed, ensuring each print receives the utmost attention to detail. For those desiring warm tone sepia photographs, these are also made available to you upon request. Clients are offered their choice of two shooting locales for convenience being either at our professional Ottawa portrait studio or on location in the surroundings of your home. ‘In home’ maternity portrait shoots, are designed to reflect an aspect of the individuals personality in conjunction with the creation of their pregnancy photographs. Clients make their selection from three photo coverages pertaining to pregnancy photography, including our most popular specially discounted three shoot maternity package. This photo shoot includes photography of you while carrying your child, followed by a six month and one year photo session as well. Alternate single and two shoot photo coverages which contain photographs are also frequently requested.
Clothing selection pertaining to maternity shoots is determined exclusively by our clients. We are very pleased to make suggestions, however the nude is unquestionably the most striking in it’s finished appearance. Undergarments can be distracting, leaving impressions and unfavourable lines on the body, which are not conducive to professional portraiture. Our clients decision will be upheld and respected regarding their choice/comfort levels regarding the nude or partially clothed. A frequent client inquiry is if they may incorporate loved ones into the shoot or be accompanied by a friend and yes, they are more than welcome to attend.
